High Resolution Spectral Analysis

Abstract

We have developed theory and software for multivariable subspace analysis and for identifying emission spectral lines in multivariable time-series. This is expected to have an impact in polarimetric radar, where the underlying energy distribution is truly multivariable. Finally we have introduced intrinsic notions of distance between power spectra. These measures quantify the degradation of performance when a wrong choice is made between two alternatives.
