Towards an Analytic Foundation for Network Architecture

Abstract

In this project, we develop the analytic tools of stochastic optimization for wireless network design and apply them to operations of tactical networks. We obtain fundamental results on performance and stability of network resource allocation under flow, packet, and channel dynamics. Distributed and optimal scheduling and power control, in particular, have been developed. We construct a first-principled approach to design network control protocol stack.
