CrossTalk, The Journal of Defense Software Engineering is co-sponsored by the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (USD(AT&L)); U.S. Navy (USN); U.S. Air Force (USAF); and the U.S. Department of Homeland Defense (DHS). USD(AT&L) co-sponsor: Director of Systems Engineering. USN co-sponsor: Naval Air Systems Command. USAF co-sponsor: Ogden-ALC 309 SMXG. DHS co-sponsor: National Cyber Security Division in the National Protection and Program Directorate. The USAF Software Technology Support Center (STSC) is the publisher of CrossTalk providing both editorial oversight and technical review of the journal. CrossTalk's mission is to encourage the engineering development of software to improve the reliability, sustainability, and responsiveness of our warfighting capability. Articles in this issue concern computer architecture, army acquisition and software engineering.
