Metal Nanostructures for Detection and Imaging Enhancements

Abstract

This is the report of a project to 1) create a high concentration of Au nanorings as image contrasting agents, 2) deposit metal nanoparticles in amorphous Si solar cells for absorption enhancement, and 3) simulate enhanced radiated power of a dipole when it is coupled with the localized surface plasmon resonance of a nearby metal nanosphere.
