Tragedy at My Lai

Abstract

There were three main causes of the tragedy at My Lai. Those were the training the US soldiers received, the tactics of the Vietcong and the US leadership on the ground at the time of the event. Removing any one of these factors could have changed the outcome but in reality the only element that could have been changed was the US leadership on the ground.
