Abstract

This issue of PHALANX provides a preview of the upcoming MORS Special Meeting focused on the way ahead for DoD force structure analysis to be held 24-27 January 2011 at the TASC Heritage Conference Center in Chantilly, Virginia. The meeting will explore how we in the analytic community can best identify and assess force structure elements needed to achieve our national security objectives called for in current national security documents, specifically the Quadrennial Defense Review, Defense Planning and Programming Guidance, and Operational Availability Study 2010. The meeting's objective is to review how the analysis community can help DoD answer the questions "Are we building the right force?" and "Are we building the force right?"
