Airspace Control

Abstract

This document is substantially revised and must be completely reviewed. This revision updates commander's roles and responsibilities, incorporates indirect fire systems as airspace users, and increases the discussion of air traffic control throughout. The format of the publication has changed to adhere to the LeMay Center doctrine document template. Chapter one discusses airspace fundamentals; chapters two and three discuss command and organization and then planning, execution, assessment respectively. In-depth discussions on homeland operations were added to both chapters two (page 29) and three (page 46). These chapters discuss in detail the considerations for planning and executing an airspace control system across the range of military operations.
