Photophysical Properties of Aromatic and Antiaromatic Porphyrinoids

Abstract

This is the report of an investigation of the photophysical properties of various Huckel or Mobius (anti)aromatic porphyrinoids such as expanded porphyrins, porphycenes, etc. using theoretical calculations and various spectroscopic methodologies in conjunction with the topology transformation between aromatic and antiaromatic porphyrinoids by conformational control vial solvent change and redox chemistry.
