The Feasibility of a Secure Communications Executive for a Communications System

Abstract

This document presents the results of the Security Kernel Working Group's study of the feasibility, form and specification inputs required to incorporate the security kernel into a communications processor. The study was performed during July 1974. It was concluded that the kernel can be tailored to provide communications applications support. The limitations and requirements imposed on the system by the use of the kernel are presented. The current DCS AUTODIN security controls and techniques are described in the appendix.
