Creating a Task-Level Organization for an Autonomous Oceanographic Sampling Network

Abstract

Our long-term goal is to contribute to the technology needed to field Autonomous Oceanographic Sampling Networks (AOSNs). In particular, we are interested in finding ways to autonomously organize and reorganize AOSNs so that they can be "open systems", comprised of a variety of components which may enter or exit at any time during deployment.
