Fires, a professional bulletin, is published bimonthly by Headquarters, Department of the Army under the auspices of the Fires Center of Excellence (Building 652, Hamilton Road), Fort Sill, Okla. The views expressed are those of the authors and not the Department of Defense or its elements. Fires content doesn t necessarily reflect the U.S. Army s position or supersede information. Founded in 2007, Fires serves as a forum for the professional discussions of all Fires professionals, both active and Reserve Component (RC); disseminates professional knowledge about progress, developments and best use in campaigns; cultivates a common understanding of the power, limitations and application of joint Fires, both lethal and nonlethal; fosters joint Fires interdependency among the armed services; and promotes the understanding of and interoperability between the branches, both active and RC, all of which contribute to the good of Army, joint and combined forces, and our nation. in other official Army publications.
