Design for Lifecycle Cost using Time-Dependent Reliability

Abstract

Accurate and efficient predictive tools are needed to estimate Time-dependent System Reliability. Time is treated as an additional design variable in the Reliability Index Approach. A new method to calculate the Cumulative Probability of failure is presented for linear and non-linear problems.
