Dynamic Uniaxial Tensile Loading of Vector Polymers

Abstract

During this analysis, we investigated tensile wave propagation using a strip stretcher with the goal of finding constitutive properties for soft materials of interest to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. We found the power-law model to be adequate for matching small strain response prior to reflection for the polymers not undergoing localization. After examining the Swanson model, we found that it matched the power-law response
