ARL Human Factors Engineering Technology: Overview of 6.2 Efforts for Dr. Lemnios, DDRE

Abstract

In the field of social network analysis, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Computational and Information Sciences Directorate (CISD) Information Sciences Division (ISD) Tactical Information Fusion Branch's (TIFB) Social Network Analysis (SNA) Team focuses on the challenge of multi-source soft data fusion and analysis through computational support and visual analytics. An important part of this challenge includes the acquisition and development of relevant scenarios and data sets varying in content, classification level, and scope that can be used during research efforts to further the field of information fusion. Within the research and development field, there exists a particularly high demand for realistic unclassified data sets. This report documents the improvements made to the Ali Baba data set for future use by research and development (R&D) teams.
