Infrared and Terahertz Lasers on SI Using Novel Group-IV Alloys

Abstract

The main goal of the project was to advance the materials science of Sn-based semiconductor alloys for use in laser structures monolithically integrated on Si platforms. As of December 2011, a total of 49 publications acknowledge support from this grant, 1-49 and 9 patents have been awarded for inventions generated by the program participants in the field of new group-IV semiconductors.
