Development of a Data Driven Three-dimensional Magnetohydrodynamic Model With Radiation Effects to Study Photosphere-Coronal Coupling
Abstract
This program began May 15, 2007 and ended January 14, 2011. We have successfully accomplished not only the goals stated in the proposal but also beyond. There are three major achievements: (i) a sufficient condition for solar eruption, (ii) simulated Sun s emission and (iii) evolution of HCS during Cycle 23. Fourteen papers have been published or are in press at the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ), Journal of Geophysical Research (JGR) and in ASP Conference Series Proceedings and three have been submitted to Ap. J. and JGR journal and are under review. Overall, there are seventeen papers are a result of this grant. Please see the final report a summary of the highlights from this program.
