BUSAT, The Boston University Student Satellite for Applications and Training

Abstract

BUSAT is a comprehensive, integrated nanosatellite project involving graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty in the engineering and science departments of Boston University and Taylor University. The purpose of the proposed satellite is to perform measurements of the precipitating energetic electron fluxes from low Earth orbit over the high latitude auroral zones and to simultaneously image the auroral emissions caused by these electrons. All milestone activities planned for the project were met.
