Equipment Acquisition for the Study of Mechanical Behavior of Materials under High Temperatures and Extreme Conditions

Abstract

In previous AFOSR-funded (FA9550-06-0214) research, the PI's research laboratory developed new methods capable of characterizing the density of geometrically necessary dislocations (GNDs) with micrometer-scale spatial resolution over regions as large as one square millimeter. The PI has another concurrent grant (FA9550-09-1-0048).
