Accession Medical Standards Analysis & Research Activity 2012 Annual Report

Abstract

AMSARA's mission is to support the development of evidence based medical standards for the Department of Defense (DoD) by guid ing improvement of medical and administrative databases and conducting epidemiologic and special studies analyses. Special studies presented in this annual report include analyses of accession medical disqualifications, waivers, existed prior to service and disability discharges. Descripti ve statistics are reported for DoD enlisted accessions who enlisted in 20 II compared to FY 2006 through FY 20 I 0 accessions totals. Data are collected whi le the recruits remain on active duty for the first fiscal year (thru fiscal year 20 II for this report). The data are then merged, analyzed and res ults presented as aggregated tables and figures.
