Photophysical Properties on Functional Pi-Electronic Molecular Systems

Abstract

The researchers have investigated the photophysical properties of various porphyrinoids such as expanded porphyrins, hybrid porphyrin tapes, etc. using theoretical calculations and various spectroscopic methodologies in conjunction with the topology transformation between aromatic and antiaromatic porphyrinoids by conformational changes via kinetic and thermodynamic control, etc. Especially, they have been interested in their nonlinear optical properties of H?ckel/M?bius aromatic and antiaromatic expanded porphyrins based on the comparison of the two-photon absorption cross section spectra.
