Vapor Intrusion Assessment and Mitigation 2012

Abstract

Briefing discusses air pollution due to vapor intrusion (VI). This is nothing new, but there wasn t much real data until the late 1990s and prior assessments were based mostly on modeling Since around 2000, there s been a lot more sampling and analysis, and mostly we have learned that VI can happen more than previously thought, but we still don t understand the root causes well enough to predict it with much confidence.
