U.S. Department of Energy's Consolidated Audit Program (DOECAP)

Abstract

Findings from DOE's Office of the Inspector General and GAO reports identified that reductions in DOE auditing of analytical laboratory services were needed. Purpose of the Department of Energy's Consolidated Audit Program (DOECAP) is to 1) Eliminate/minimize audit redundancies; 2) Standardize audit methodology, policies and procedures; 3) Communicate Lessons Learned; and 4) Reduce overall Department risks/liabilities.
