Optical Measurements in Non-Equilibrium Plasmas and Flows

Abstract

Thermal disequilibrium among the internal modes of molecular species in supersonic and hypersonic air flows, and in non-equilibrium air, and oxygen containing plasmas, is a widely occurring, but far from well understood, phenomenon which is important to a wide variety of aerodynamic and aerospace platforms.
