CNA's Integrated Ship Database, Fourth Quarter 2011 Update

Abstract

In December 2005, we published the first edition of CNA s Integrated Ship Database (ISDB) [1]. Our intent then, as now, was to bring together data on naval ships already available from separate sources into a single combined database tool. We wanted to keep this integrated information current. We wanted to make it readily accessible for analysis and reporting. And finally, we wanted to be able to rapidly respond to requests from our sponsor1, from other CNA research scientists and analysts, and from others in government as well.
