Discrete Scattering in Marine Sediments

Abstract

The goal of this research is to better understand the physics and mechanisms of sound-seabed interaction, including acoustic penetration, propagation, attenuation and scattering in marine sediments. The scientific objective of this research is to develop analytical and numerical approaches to describe and quantify acoustic scattering from rough heterogeneous sea beds with discrete inclusions.
