Recapitalization and Acquisition of Light Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (REDACTED)

Abstract

We determined whether the Army effectively managed efforts to develop, test, and acquire armor solutions for light tactical wheeled vehicles. Specifically, we reviewed the Army s acquisition actions for the Risk Reduction Vehicle (XM1166) and the Next Generation Expanded Capacity Vehicle (ECV2) and the Army s plan for the recapitalization of the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) fleet.
