The Evaluation of Carpet Steam/Heat Cleaners as Biological Sampling Device

Abstract

Additional approaches for large area remediation of biological spores from porous surfaces are needed. This project covered research activities performed to evaluate current models of carpet steam cleaners based on their utility as a sampling device in extracting Bacillus anthracis surrogate, B. globigii, spores off contaminated commercial grade carpets. The Informatin Sheet provides a brief description of the project and contact data to request additional information.
