Data Association Algorithms for Tracking Satellites

Abstract

This document describes the work performed as part of the Ananke simulation development. The Ananke simulation tool development is a larger project to provide end-to-end space object simulation and characterization to demonstrate the feasibility of such methods. This document describes the orbit propagation tool, CO-TurboProp, used in the Ananke tool. The document describes the addition of higher-fidelity models in CO-TurboProp and validation of the new tools. The description provided here includes the mathematical background and description of the models implemented, as well as a definition of the software interface for the larger Ananke tool. Comparisons of the software with semi-analytic techniques and other available high-fidelity propagation tools are also presented, and all tools met all required and expected accuracies.
