Fluid Structure Modeling and SImulation of a Modified KC-135R Icing Tanker Boom

Abstract

The aeronautical transport protocol AeroTP addresses the challenges of end-to-end communication in highly dynamic airborne telemetry network environment. The protocol has multiple modes: reliable, nearreliable, quasi-reliable, unreliable connection, and unreliable datagram. We present our Python implementation of reliability modes that provide end-to-end error control. The results of preliminary experiments conducted on Linux systems using AeroTP quasi-reliable mode are comparable to simulation results.
