Biofuel: A Comparative Case Study

Abstract

This project analyzes the government's role in the commercialization of biofuel by comparing biofuel commercialization efforts to those of nuclear power and nanotechnology commercialization. The PESTEL framework is applied to nuclear power and nanotechnology to identify key factors relevant to successful commercialization. These success factors are compared to current government biofuel policies to infer the likelihood of successful biofuel commercialization. In closing we recommend changes to government policy to improve the prospect of biofuel commercialization.
