National Defense Education Program (NDEP) - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education

Abstract

Collaboration of Air Force Research Lab and The Dayton Regional STEM Center resulted in Department of Defense Scientists and Engineers partnering with educational institutions, making direct connections between developed curricula and scientific and experimental processes. National Defense Education Program funding bolstered real world connections between school curriculum and the work of the Department of Defense Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics professionals. These experiences exposed Pre-School-12 students to competencies and career fields as they relate to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. 15.
