A Closer Look at 804: A Summary of Considerations for DoD Program Managers

Abstract

This report examines Section 804 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2010 and related guidance documents through the lens of the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) Program Manager. The information in this report is intended to help the program manager to begin to reason about building expertise, changing internal processes, and leveraging new toolsets to adapt to the new IT acquisition process.
