Unshielded and Shielded Facility Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Radiation Protection Survey for F.S. Gabreski ANGB, NY

Abstract

The U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Consultative Services Division, Radiation Health Consulting Branch completed an x-ray radiation protection survey. This survey was to evaluate the nondestructive inspection unshielded and shielded facilities for compliance with T.O. 33B-l-l, Chapter 6, Radiographic Inspection Method, and compliance with occupational and general public radiation safety standards. This survey showed compliance with the occupational dose limit of 5 rem/yr and general public radiation dose limit of 100 mrem/yr.
