Wireless Vital Sign Sensor Network Simulations for Mass Casualty Response

Abstract

Analysis of the needs of a US Air Force Pararescue Program has determined that there is a need for improved monitoring of injured persons during the initial stages of rescue operations. Simulations of wireless sensor networks were used to investigate the potential for performance improvements that can be gained through various forms of multi-hop networking.
