Training and Research in Oceanic and Atmospheric Processes in Tropical Cyclones (TROPIC)

Abstract

Three principle objectives are designed to achieve the long-term goal: 1. Improve observational data quality. 2. Increase the accuracy of upper-ocean thermal structure beneath TCs in coupled model initializations. 3. Evaluate TC intensity forecasts based on modeled and observed values ocean heat content.
