Evaluation of Microcomposite Coatings for Chrome Replacement

Abstract

To demonstrate and Validate micro-composite coatings for the replacement of chrome on DoD systems that meets or exceeds the requirements for hard chrome and is lighter and more strain tolerant/spallation resistant than current WC-Co materials.
