An Analysis of Medical Ethic Practice by Union and Confederate Medical Departments During the American Civil War

Abstract

Union and Confederate medical departments were limited to the knowledge of medicine at that time and while they generally delivered ethical medical care to white soldiers during the Civil War, the care delivered to African-American troops was substandard in comparison.
