Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of Tokyo Population Renewal

Abstract

This is a translation of a statistical analysis of the entire body of population change and movement in Tokyo between 1930 and 1935. By the use of the term "population renewal," the author, Asakichi Toyoura, indicates that he has not limited himself to numerical differences in population increase and decrease, but rather has considered the quantity and quality of the various movements making for population change.
