Final Environmental Assessment for the Construction of a Propulsion Energetics Laboratory, Air Force Research Laboratory, Edwards Air Force Base, California

Abstract

This report presents the environmental analysis for the construction of a modern laboratory and administrative complex at Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The environmental assessment (EA) was requested by Air Force Research Laboratory/Chief, Experimental Dem Branch, Edwards AFB, California. This EA has analyzed several components of the natural and manmade environment for potential impacts as a result of the proposed action. The EA was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended (42 United States Code 4321 et seq.), the Council of Environmental Quality (CEQ) Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (40 Code of Federal Regulations 1500-1508), and Air Force Instruction 32-7061, The Environmental Impact Analysis Process.
