Campaign Plan Granite

Abstract

The attached Outline Campaign Plan for operations of the Pacific Ocean Areas during 1944 eventually to establish forces in position to force the surrender of Japan has been submitted to the Commander in Chief, U.S. Fleet and Chief of Naval Operations in compliance with his directive. It is based on the strategic concept approved by the Combined Chiefs of Staff on 23 December 1943.
