Latent Work and Latent Heat of the Liquid/Vapor Transformation

Abstract

The key elements of the theory of the liquid/vapor phase transformations are the phase equilibrium curve pressure/temperature and latent heat of the transformation. To the best of our knowledge, nobody has yet analyzed the latent work of phase transformation. In this report, we try to eliminate this paradoxical gap. Through a generalized methodology, we study the latent heat and latent work of liquid/vapor phase transformation for variously constrained thermodynamic processes.
