Yap: A High-Performance Cursor on Target Message Router

Abstract

Cursor on Target (CoT) is an extensible markup language (XML) message format and associated communications protocol that has been adopted as a de facto interoperability standard for US and coalition command and control systems. CoT messages are exchanged between systems using a message router. This report describes the CoT message router implementation developed by the Battlefield Information Processing Branch of the US Army Research Laboratory.
