Environmental Assessment: Armed Forces Reserve Center Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington

Abstract

As a part of the decisions made by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission, the U.S. Army Reserve and Washington Army National Guard Armory based in Spokane, WA is consolidating and moving their operations to Fairchild AFB. In order to meet requirements of this transformation, facilities and infrastructure improvements are required. Several alternative locations on base were explored and are presented in the environmental analysis. The No Action alternative, which is a non-viable alternative, provides contrast and comparison to the viable alternatives and their relative environmental affects. No significant impacts would result from implementation of the Proposed Action or the No-Action Alternative.
