Final Stormwater Control and Devices Environmental Assessment

Abstract

This submittal provides the Final Stormwater Control and Devices Environmental Assessment and Final Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Finding of No Practicable Alternative (FONPA) for Grand Forks Air Force Base North Dakota. (Task Order 0202, AMC204638). The United States Air Force (USAF) Air Mobility Command proposes to construct flow control structures and sampling points at stormwater outfalls at Grand Forks AFB in Grand Forks County, North Dakota. The flow control structures would allow emergency personnel to prevent or control discharge from the stormwater outfalls to adjoining navigable waterways and the stormwater outfall sampling points would provide safer access for collecting stormwater samples. The flow control structures and sampling points would ensure that the quality of the storm water being discharged off base would not have a detrimental impact on local, state, and regional surface waters.
