Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the Main Base Wastewater Treatment Facility, Edwards Air Force Base, California
Abstract
This report presents the results of a supplemental environmental assessment conducted pursuant to the Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP) for a proposed project as set forth in Title 32 Code of Federal Regulations Part 989, Environmental Impact Analysis Process, which implements the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969; Council on Environmental Quality regulations; Department of Defense Instruction 4715.9, Environmental Planning and Analysis, 3 May 1996; and Air Force Policy Directive 32-70, Environmental Quality, 20 July 1994. The supplemental assessment was completed at the request of the 452nd Flight Test Squadron, Edwards AFB, California, and conducted by JT3/CH2M HILL to evaluate the environmental effects of discharging nonhazardous industrial wastewater directly into the evaporation ponds at the Main Base Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The assessment was conducted from 18 January to 15 July 2005.
