Android Virtual Machine (VM) Setup on Linux

Abstract

The native Android Virtual Machine (VM) acts as an actual Android device and has improved speed performance over the Android Software Development Kit (SDK) emulator. The purpose of this document is to provide a detailed guide on how to effectively debug an Android application without the actual Android device and how to improve speed performance over the default Android emulator using an Android VM on an x86 host computer.
