Optical Characteristics of Southern California Waters

Abstract

The long-term goal is to determine the forcing mechanisms important in altering the optical properties in shallow water. The objective of this study is to evaluate the potential performance of optical detection systems by measuring the optical properties of the water column in conjunction with a test of optical detection systems.
