AGOR 28 SIO Shipyard Representative Bi-Weekly Progress Report

Abstract

Progress on the building of AGOR 28, oceanographic research vessel Sally Ride. Work continues 1) reviewing Vendor Recommended Spares (VRS); 2) reviewing Technical Manuals and Supplemental Information; 3) work on initial outfitting lists for Sally Ride; and working on NS5 Hierarchy. The roller bearings have been delivered and are being installed on Armstrong. Sally Ride foundations are complete and ready for paint. On Sally Ride foundation for TK70-70 Main Crane was place on board. Welding to the deck is in progress. Sally Ride electrical, the connections at all for generator have been made. As of today no generator connections have been made to the 690-volt bus; the cabling is there and will be hooked up after resistance readings are made. Many smaller cables are being run to and from panels throughout the vessel, with terminations being made as needed.
