AGOR 28: SIO Shipyard Representative Bi-Weekly Progress Report

Abstract

Progress on the building of AGOR 28, oceanographic research vessel Sally Ride. Work continues 1) reviewing Vendor Recommended Spares (VRS); 2) reviewing Technical Manuals and Supplemental Information; 3) work on initial outfitting lists for Sally Ride; and working on NS5 Hierarchy. On Sally Ride, electrical cable is being feed to several of Siemen's IO and Machinery Control cabinets throughout the vessel in preparation for termination. In pilot house electrical and joiner work is ongoing, however carpenters are waiting for HVAC to finish before Norac panels can be installed. Steering Gear: The port side hydraulic piping has been flushed and a sample has been taken for analysis. The starboard side flush will begin this afternoon. ABS will witness hydro testing tomorrow. Bulkheads and overheads in this space have been painted.
