Abstract

The yard is continuing to install the Quad-zero MLV in various locations throughout Sally Ride. DCI is holding off on installing any new insulation in the machinery spaces where dampening tiles are still exposed. Last week, DCI removed the dampening tiles below the Anti-Roll Tank at the 01 Deck overhead. The tiles have been replaced with several coats of Delta-db. This was done so that the area could be finished without risk of having to remove the dampening tiles after compartment completion. The removal of the dampening tiles required great effort and the use of a pneumatic chisel do to the superior of the tile cement.
